 Lack of potable water will not be. The investment project is a radical transformation of Turkmenbashi urban engineering infrastructure worth more than 133 million Euro commissioned by khyakimlik of the seaside town and carried out by Turkish company Polimeks.



At the enlarged session of Cabinet of Ministers President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov pointed out:
“It is necessary to carry on large-scale Government programs on development of social and living conditions of people in rural areas, settlements, and etrap towns and etrap centers.


In this direction it is necessary to draw about 2 billion 100 million mantas of investments. At the same time the main part of them have to be placed into of objects of water industry construction – 196 million 700 thousand mantas, into energy – 220 million mantas, into inner roads – 109 million 800 thousand mantas, into housing – 97 million 500 thousand mantas, into sports – 173 million 400 thousand, into schools and kindergartens – 860 million mantas.”


These figures exactly reflect the country development priorities.

 

Why Turkmenistan? 

 

According to the budget statement of Turkmenistan for the year of 2010:
•Growth of Gross Domestic Product is planned on the level of 106,3% (106,1% in 2009).
•In 2010 it is planned to draw 22.4% more investments than in 2009 into social and cultural sector (29,3% of which will be made from foreign property investors).
•The budget statement 2010 is to provide 74,1% resources (excluding investments) for the social sphere development. For financing of education it is planned to assign 39,2%, for healthcare – 12,7%, for culture – 4,3%, for state social maintenance – 33,4%, for housing and communal sector – 10,4%. (The state budget 2010 will 11,7% increase expenditure for healthcare, 10,5% for education system, 36,5% for culture).
•For development of the construction industry next year the state budget is planning to spend 54,6% resources more than in 2009. Large financial resources ate to be provided for realization of a number of other goal oriented state programs.

 

 

 

The organized International Forum “A drop of water is a grain of gold”, devoted to problems of water industry management along with the demonstration of engineering, equipment, technology, materials and services for construction, maintenance and servicing of water industry objects gives an opportunity to demonstrate new energy and resources saving equipment and technologies, instruments, materials and reagents, large-scale services in the field of construction and exploitation of water structure objects, agricultural, industrial and housing, large-scale investment projects in the sector of rational water consumption, ecology and water resources security of Turkmenistan and the region.

 

On the first Sunday in April Turkmenistan celebrates the national holiday «Suw damjasy altyn danesi»
“A drop of water is a grain of gold”.
This date is special in the national calendar. It is the embodiment of genuine traditions of the Turkmen people, who over the period of their history have treated water as if it were a precious gift, which means life itself.
During the period of great Renaissance this good holiday acquired a new quality and meaning of a bright symbol of unanimity and solidarity of Turkmen society, its devotion to the chosen way of peace, constructive endeavour and progress.
